Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers at The Place thrift store work closely with the staff unloading donations, sorting and inspecting, hanging clothes, or organizing the retail floor. This is a great opportunity for individuals and groups to make a difference. Recurring and one-time volunteer opportunities are available.
Food Pantry
Volunteers at The Place Food Pantry are assisting in making sure our clients are receiving all of their orders when they arrive. We provide a high level of customer service by providing car side service. You might help to pack food bags, sort through baked goods, or help load groceries into vehicles. Individual opportunities available at the food pantry and group opportunities available at the warehouse or for a food drive.
Workforce Development
Volunteers looking to assist with our workforce program can help by becoming a mentor/tutor for our financial literacy class, can offer to supply a meal for any of our classes, or provide childcare services for the families that need to bring children with them. Individual and group opportunities available.
Seasonal/ Holiday
The Holidays bring a great deal of volunteer opportunities around The Place. These offerings include: Thanksgiving food drive and food pantry serving, Holiday House Event, Gift of Prom, Back to School Backpacks, Hot meals for seniors on the Holidays and much more.
Home Projects
The opportunities to volunteer at home are great for families with younger children that want to serve The Place. These can include: Hosting a coat drive, putting together baskets for the homebound seniors for holidays, collecting food for a food drive, and so much more!
